RE: police scanner

My neighbor across the street just hit a deer. Deer took off. Damage to car 1700.00. We are city people and because so much land is being built on they have no where to go.

RE: Top Executives give up salaries

On the National News last night they showed the 3 big ones in Washington-GM CEO came in on a private plane cost of 20,000.00 and so did Ford CEO. Chrysler CEO said he would take a 1.00 pay next year, GM/Ford CEO said they would not give up their pay when ask if they would also take a 1.00. I think they said GM CEO made about 6 million and Ford 9 million. You would think they would want to help out their companies or Maybe Chrysler was just trying to look good to get the 25 billion bail out.

RE: Pasta n' More?

I just cooked angel hair pasta in mine last night and it came out perfect. I have a big microwave (1200 watts) so I reduced the time by one minute. It was done in 17 minutes. So easy and simple to clean. I have also cooked bowties, elebow, and regular spaghetti. All have come out good. I do put vegetable oil and salt in the water.

RE: Xpress 101 , Knock-off

Thanks. I always wanted to try one too. I have found that the generic brands to be just as good and much cheaper. I have a generic brand bullet and we just love it. Bought it at Big Lots for 20.00 compared to 59.00 at the time. Also have the generic can opener that I bought at Big lots for 5.00. I am waiting for a generic jar opener.

RE: Thanksgiving--roast your turkey upside down!

When I cook a turkey or chicken in the microwave, I always started with the meat upside for the first half of the cooking. They always turn out brown and juicey. No one knew they were cooked in a microwave.

RE: Here's a good deal for restaurant goers.........

So I bought one of those $25 certificates and took my wife to Berkeley Marina Grill.
2 plates, one 4oz drink and one soda (in wine glass, no refill) totaled $70 before tip. Deducting $25 and leaving $10 tip I paid $55 cash plus $2 for the certificate. My total $57.
With that $57 I could take not only my wife, but our 2 sons to Chinese restaurant and not only we all would have 5-course meals, not only I wouldn't have to eat lot of bread to kill my appetite, but we would have boxed leftovers for following day.
So where is the good deal in this?
:B
The deal is you would have paid 80.00 if you didn't have the coupon. It depends where you go and what the restrictions are. We have had a lot of great meals but I have found that prices have gone up on lots of meals. A favorite place of ours almost doubled their price and less food.
